Chuck Person and Brian Shaw, Los Angeles Lakers assistant, received permission and will meet with the Golden State Warriors on Friday league sources.
Mike Brown, former coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who spent the season working as an NBA analyst for ESPN, remains the favorite for the job, and it seems that Brown already has the focus on the Warriors.
The Lakers also will also have interviews with Shaw and Person, the sources said.
Brown, sources say, was removed from the consideration of the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers and would have taken the eye.
Many league sources say the Pacers front office to keep intact with President Larry Bird and general manager David Morway, Frank Vogel leave the coaching position and the Pacers have not explored other options.
Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com, was the first to report the interest of the Warriors in Person and Shaw.
